Counselor's Corner

In Tribes during January, students and teachers will be discussing the Lifeskills of effort, goal-setting, courage, and flexibility. One of the first steps in goal setting is getting organized. Many students need to be taught step-by-step how to be organized. This would be a good time to organize a place at home for homework, library books, backpacks, etc. Ask them if their desk and locker is organized. Spend some family time at home discussing everyone’s goals for this year. Writing them down and sharing them with others helps us to be accountable.

Our Adopt-A-Soldier campaign was a huge success. Some of the soldiers have written back to the students, and we had a huge quantity of donations for the care packages. We sent two large boxes to the troops, and we will be sending a box each week until they have all been sent. Thanks you so very much for supporting our fellow Americans in Iraq!
