Counselor’s Corner

Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! My name is Maria Covington, the School Counselor at Eisenhower. I am available to you and your children, if the need arises. As the school counselor, my job focuses on identifying and removing barriers to student learning. Some of the services I provide include:

Large group guidance in the areas of:
Conflict resolution Study skills Bullying Respect for self and others Improving the school environment	Problem solving Goal setting Relaxation Manners Community Involvement
Small group and individual counseling:
Solution focused counseling Tribes  Red Ribbon Week	Testing Student of the Week Referrals to services in the community
