MATH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS


Parents
seeking extra math practice and enrichment for their children have many
resources available. Listed below are
some easily available sources:
- Eisenhower
International School Library has a variety of books and tapes available
for both students and parents to check out. These include music tapes such as Mondo Math and Multiplication Rap, teacher resources that can be adapted for
home use, and many trade books that both entertain and teach (examples
include Math Curse, Super Math
Tricks, Amazing Math Puzzles, Mathemagic and
One Grain of Rice).
- Local stores such as
The Apple Tree and The Learning Shop carry math manipulatives
and workbooks.
- The internet has
easy-to-access math worksheets (these are printable). Some of our favorite sites include:
