grades 3 - 5, and option in younger grades
(individual and/or class projects), the
Science Fair encourages students to
undertake a scientific research project that
applies the Scientific Method. Students
display projects and project boards at a
school science fair. Independent judges
select three winners to advance to the
District level competition. Teachers send
home detailed instructions to students far
in advance, detailing the sequential steps
for successful completion of projects. |

interactive Internet science project allows
students to electronically visit and
interact with scientists in a field study
situation. This year's focus focuses on
ocean study. This activity is being
facilitated by classroom teachers in
