Here is a sample of what you will see on our tour:
- The exterior or our school featuring the
parent-created International banner.
- Our lobby with a proud dolphin sculpture,
commissioned by the school’s first 5th grade class in 1992 and
created by local artist Chuck Tomlins.
- The lighted display case, sitting in the center of
the school’s front hallway, which houses hundreds of dolphins – a mixed
media collection of all sizes, colors and designs of dolphins – and all
donated by the students to their school.
- The school’s Global
Learning Center
which provides a state-of-the art library/media collection in English,
French and Spanish and student computers.
- Inside the Cultural Classroom, an impressive
international doll collection greets visitors from lighted glass shelving,
next to a ‘beanie baby’ collection of international animals.
- Our parents, staff and community partners working
together in a Site-Council meeting.
- The Music Room
- The Art Room
- Our ‘gynnatorium,’ three
rows of colorful, international flags cover the ceiling, providing a
canopy of color.
- In the school cafeteria, there is further evidence of
international elements – one wall of shelving contains artifact displays
from a variety of countries. Within
the displays are genuine artifacts either purchased specifically for the
collection, or donated either by travelers from Tulsa
or presented as gifts by international visitors.
- Halls featuring murals depicting international scenes
- Kinder classrooms
- 3rd Grade classrooms
- 5th Grade classrooms
