#5 - Images of Spring on broken glass.

#1 and #2 - Two 14 inch white platters decorated with darling fingerprint artwork including butterflies, caterpillars, flowers and bees.  Every child in Spanish Kindergarten used their fingerprints to paint one object on each platter. Every child's name is also painted on the platter. Butterflies painted by each teacher are also included in the center of the platter.
#3 - Big framed map w/photo & color mosaic.
#4 and #5 - These glass bowls were hand blown at the Tulsa Glass Blowing Studio located in the Historic Brady District of downtown Tulsa by Jason Decker (Parent of 2014S student) and with the help of local artist, teacher and Founding Artistic Director Sarah Diggdon. The bowls were then painted by the Spanish Kindergarten class with images of Spring including caterpillars, kites, flowers, suns, butterflies and rainbows. The specialty paint used in this project was then fused onto the bowls so to ensure the artwork would last a lifetime. As for the reason there are two bowls - a crack occurred during the fusing process of the first bowl. While the crack cannot be repaired, it has been contained and should hold together nicely, for years to come.

Spanish first graders took everyday objects and explored their textures and patterns in these one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Grouped together, these unique tiles create a visual display worthy of any art museum!” ""The Spanish first graders each painted their own tile design using the colors of sand and waves, sun and evening, evoking the Eisenhower dolphin's ocean home. The individual pieces were then fired, using the Art Class kiln, and arranged into two themed compositions. The final tiled mirrors are reminders of our happy days as EIS dolphins and reflections of the children and families who make it such a unique, creative community.

Dexium Gradica 2012

A unique font created from a handwritten letter from each of the 26 French Second grade students was developed (and the dot for the “i” provided by Mme Martinet’s service dog, Cody!) Using a modern design approach, we have created a 36” x 48” art piece on canvas that is a collage of the students’ names and second grade "mots du mur" (word wall words) in a bold new font called “Deuxium Gradica 2012.”
