One aspect
of EIS that is particularly noteworthy is
the level of parental involvement and
support. The school’s Parent-Teacher
Association (PTA)
boasts a 200% membership level.
Parents are involved in the Shared-Decision
Making Council and on committees that help
support the school. The PTA
sponsors a variety of extracurricular and
social events to help the school create and
maintain a sense of purposeful community.
Fundraising efforts from the PTA
provide as much financial support for
instructional materials and supplies as the
school district is able to allocate for that
