May 2005
Dear Parents,
As most of you know; we
completed the OCCT tests during this last
month. We are pleased to announce we tested
100% of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students
and all worked very diligently. Please join
us in celebrating with your children this
accomplishment!
The Eisenhower staff
recently nominated and voted to choose the
Area V Spring Award Recipients.
Congratulations to the following members of
our community: Caden Broussard, 5th Grade
girl, Cameron Cross, 5th Grade boy, Leonardo
DeAndrade, Certified Personnel, Milagros
Monsalve, Support Personnel, and Kathy
Brittingham, Parent Volunteer. All five of
our recipients were recognized in a special
ceremony and each received a medal!
Congratulations again!
Recently, there have been
many questions regarding the EIS Uniform
Policy. If you need a current copy of the
policy; please stop by the office and pick
one up. A few highlights of the policy are:
Safe shoes only (no open toes, open heels or
sandals), solid color belts with pants that
have loops, straight legged twill pants
(navy or khaki), Capri pants (navy or
khaki), or shorts (navy or khaki), skirts
(navy, khaki, or EIS plaid), tights (navy or
white), and plain straight legged dark denim
pants. Please remember no jean shorts or
jean skirts.
As spring time approaches
and more children are outside playing; let’s
all make a concentrated effort to ensure the
safety of our children. Please remember if
you are using the Service Center parking lot
to park your car and walk across to the
playground to drop off or pick up your
children. Also, please do not let the
children cross the road in front of the
school. This is a busy road and is extremely
dangerous. Please park along the curb or use
the north parking lot to drop off and pick
up.
Parents are welcome and
encouraged to be at school. We do ask that
each parent sign in at the office upon
entering the building. This is to ensure the
safety of all the children. Please remember
teachers are available to meet with any
parents however we encourage our parents to
make appointment with our staff. Thank you
for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Stacy Strow
