June 2005
Dear Parents:
Earlier in the month, the
2003-2004 School Report card for our school
was sent home. We have received several
inquiries about the number of suspensions
listed on the report card. We placed a
school because even we were a confused with
the number. The director of the “Testing and
Accountability” office informed me the
report card was to be read “There was 1
suspension for every 148.0 students.”
Therefore, Eisenhower International had 2
suspensions during the school year,
2003-2004. If you should have any other
questions regarding the report card; please
call me and we can discuss it further.
The testing for the Gifted
and Talented Program is now complete. Please
note the students who are already in the GT
program and had qualified during their 2nd
grade year (Otis Lennon testing) were not
re-tested. Also, once a student qualifies
for the GT program they do not have to test
again. If you should have any questions
regarding the GT program; please call me or
Senora Moss.
As the school year winds
down, I want to personally thank each of our
parents. Thank you for entrusting your
children to us everyday! Thank you for your
support, commitment, and time! We could only
do what we do with your support and help!
To our fifth grade students
and parents: We won’t say “good-bye”; we
will only say “until next time – keep in
touch”.
Wishing all of our families
a wonderful, fun, relaxing summer and we
will see you on August 22, 2004.
Sincerely,
Stacy Strow
