October 2005
Dear Parents:
Fall is finally here! We are
halfway finished with the first 9 weeks of
school and things seem to be moving along
quickly and smoothly.
Our annual exchange trip
with San Luis Potosi has begun. Our nine
ambassadors are in Mexico and all are
reported to be well, happy, and adjusting
just fine. We are now anxiously awaiting the
arrival of the SLP ambassadors! Please join
us Monday morning and welcome them to our
school.
Thank you for your
participation in the “Run Program” so far.
We have received $400.00 to date for our
participation. We would like to invite you
to participate in the Zoo Run, Red Ribbon
Run and Tulsa Run! It is really a great
family activity to do if you have never
joined us!
Once again, I am
implementing “School Talk Time”. This is a
time where anyone and everyone can come to
my office and discuss anything that has been
on your mind. It could be a suggestion you
have always wanted to make or a question
that has been burning for a while. The time
for this month will be on Wednesday, October
5th, at 9:00 AM. Please note my door is
always OPEN to you anytime during the year,
however this scheduled time was successful
last year and some enjoy a specific time
they can come.
The last week in October,
EIS will participate in the “Sister City
Celebration”. This is an annual celebration;
however this year is special because Tulsa
is signing Amiens, France as a “Sister”. EIS
played a great role in this and was made
possible primarily because of our exchange
program. Tulsa Global Alliance, our oldest
partner has asked for our participation in
two of the events. Nine 5th graders will
participate in the Opening Ceremony and our
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade French students will
participate in the Signing Ceremony.
Please mark your calendars
for Parent Teacher Conferences which will be
held on November 3rd and 4th. Our goal is
for 100% participation in our conferences.
Thank you for all your
support!
