October 2006
Dear Parents:
Fall is finally here! We are
halfway finished with the first 9 weeks of
school and things seem to be moving along
quickly and smoothly.
Our annual exchange trip with San Luis
Potosi has begun. Our six ambassadors are in
Mexico and all are reported to be well,
happy, and adjusting just fine. We are now
anxiously awaiting the arrival of the SLP
ambassadors! Please join us Monday morning
at our weekly Rise and Shine Assembly and
help welcome them to our school.
Thank you for your participation in the “Run
Program” so far. We have received $400.00 to
date for coming in second place at the
Hurricane Run. We would like to invite you
to participate in the runs that are left
this fall: Zoo Run, Red Ribbon Run and Tulsa
Run! It is really a great family activity to
do if you have never joined us!
We would like for everyone to come and help
us celebrate the 25th Year of Immersion
Education on Saturday, October 14 from 4-7
P.M. on the school grounds. Please mark your
calendars and quickly return your RSVP.
Information will be coming today in the Home
and Backs!
“School Talk Time” is a time where anyone
and everyone can come to my office and
discuss anything that has been on your mind.
It could be a suggestion you have always
wanted to make or a question that has been
burning for a while. The time for this month
will be on Tuesday, October 17th at 2:00 pm.
Please note my door is always OPEN to you
anytime during the year, however this
scheduled time was successful last year and
some enjoy a specific time they can come.
Please mark your calendars for Parent
Teacher Conferences which will be held on
November 2nd and 3rd. Our goal is for 100%
participation in our conferences.
Thank you for all your support!
