November 2005
Dear Parents:
We will kick off the month
of November by having our Fall Parent
Teacher Conferences on November 3rd and 4th.
If you have not already done so, please
schedule your conference with your child’s
teacher today! Report cards will be
distributed at these conferences. Our goal
is to have 100% participation!
The second quarter began on
October 27th. We are setting another goal
and encouraging every student to have
“Perfect Attendance”. Remember, to qualify
for perfect attendance a student may not be
tardy or leave early. We will hand out
certificates for 1st Quarter Perfect
Attendance at the November 7th Rise and
Shine Assembly.
Tuesday, November 8th is the
TPS Bond Election. Please remind your family
members, neighbors and everyone you know to
get out and vote!
We would like to invite you
to the November 14th Rise and Shine Assembly
to join us in celebrating Eisenhower winning
the Exemplary Award!
On November 15th our
students are in store for a wonderful treat!
Thanks to Alan and Janet Hasegawa all of our
students will be able to see the Tulsa Opera
perform “Rusalka” right in our own gym!
Thank you Alan and Janet!
Congratulations to the
following EIS members for being selected as
the Area V Award Recipients: Robin Martinet
(certified position), Mae Terry (support
position), Giselle Willis (5th Grade
student), and Kathy Ostrem (parent
volunteer). All will be recognized on
Thursday, November 17th at the Area V
Ceremony at Kendall Whittier.
A special thank you goes out
to Mrs. Emily Wood and all the families who
were directly involved with the Spanish
Exchange this year. It is coming to a close
and it has been a smashing success! The
entire school has benefited from this event
and we could have not done it without you!
The EIS Ambassadors will return home on
November 20th at 11:47 am and the SLP
Ambassadors will leave on November 26th at
3:03pm. We will have a “Welcome
Home/Farewell” Assembly on November 22nd at
2:15 P.M. Again, thank you for giving so
much and helping us with this program!
We want to wish you and your
family a “Happy Thanksgiving”. Remember, we
will not have school on November 23rd, 24th,
and 25th due to the holiday!
Thank you for your continued
support!
