December 2006
Dear Parents:
As the midway point of the
second quarter approaches, I would like to
share attendance and tardies data from the
first quarter with you. Below are two graphs
which document the attendance and tardies
for each grade level.

As you can see from the data
Kindergarten had the most half day absents
with Pre K having the least. (This does not
take account how many students are in each
grade.) Also first grade had the highest
number of tardies while Pre K had the
lowest.
We are having a contest for the second
quarter and awarding the grade level with
the lowest number of absences and tardies
with certificates. We will take into account
number of students and do percentages for
this contest. Please join us in helping to
lower our absenteeism rate and tardies rate
by ensuring your child is here every day and
on time! We will announce the grade level
winners at a Rise and Shine Assembly!
Due to winter break, we will not be in
school from December 21st – Jan 2nd. We, the
staff at EIS, would like to wish each of you
and your families “Happy Holidays”. We hope
you enjoy your time together and have a very
“Happy New Year”. See you on January 3,
2007!
